The sacral complex of the pastoral cultures of the Eastern Desert in Wadi Khashab

The Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology (PCMA) hosting a series of lectures titled "POLAR" - POLish ARchaeology.

This evening the lecture is given by Piotr Osypiński.
The lecture titled "The sacral complex of the pastoral cultures of the Eastern Desert at the end of the 5th millennium BC in Wadi Khashab."

 The lectures was scheduled to start at 8pm and 39 chairs were lined up for expected guests.

The lecture started at 8:08pm and was attended by 29 Persons. It lasted for 48 minutes.

First the director of the centre, Dr. Artur Obluskipresented the speaker and the first slide of the presentation showing the different 
Countries (11 countries) and sites (39 sites) the PCMA is currently working on.

The speaker started with giving an overall idea of the site where work started in 2010.
The site shows a significant signs of cattle and sheep burials dated back to the 5th millennium BC.

The cattle burials constitute the first evidence of complete skeletons of early domesticated African cattle with complete data concerning their morphology.

Also a child burial was found showing a necklace and bracelets of faience beads around the neck and wrist of the child who could have been around 2 years old.
