A central surveillance centre for all the museums of Egypt

Farouk Hosni, Minister of culture, said in a press conference this afternoon that the ministry does its best to secure the museums with cameras inside and outside beside the alarm systems but it is the human element that needs more attention and therefore the decision was taken to establish a central surveillance centre connected to all the museums security systems and controlled by the National Security authorities to make sure there will be no chance of recklessness. According to the project coordinator this project will take time but the ministry will start right away working on it and the centre will be in the citadel near Mohamed Ali mosque.

By the way today was the first court hearing session concerning the stolen Van gogh painting and the court decided to keep the Deputy Minister in custody and there will be another session to hear witnesses on 24th September.
